Educator’s Reference Complete

Educator's Reference Complete indexes more than 1,100 periodicals (450 are full-text academic journals) as well as hundreds of full-text ERIC reports. The database is intended for the K12 educator or administrator as well as education students, faculty, and researchers. It covers multiple levels of education from preschool to college; topics include educational specialties such as technology, bilingual education, health education, and testing, and also issues in administration, funding, and policy.

 

ERIC

ERIC is a large database containing references to information in the field of music education. Material comes from the Resources in Education and the monthly Current Index to Journals in Education, as well as information produced by the Educational Resource Information Center.

 

 

HISTORY

Historical Abstracts; ABC-CLIO

This database is equivalent to the print, Historical Abstracts and covers the subject area of history of the world, excluding the United States and Canada from 1450 to the present (see America: History and Life for the history of the US and Canada).

 

Handbook of Latin American Studies/HLAS Online; Library of Congress

HLAS Online is a searchable bibliographic database on Latin American studies. Each year over 5,000 works are included in this multidisciplinary work, which is equivalent to the print Handbook of Latin American Studies.

 

Index Islamicus

The Index Islamicus database indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. Material cited in the Index Islamicus includes not only work written about the Middle East, but also about the other main Muslim areas of Asia and Africa, plus Muslim minorities elsewhere.

Comprehensive literary reference database, which provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a comprehensive database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else.

 

SocINDEX with Full Text

Offers coverage from all subdisciplines of sociology. Contains full text for journals dating back to 1895. This database also includes full text for books and monographs, and full text for conference papers.

Provides abstracts and indexing for over 3,200 scholarly journals covering the social sciences, humanities, education and more. Also offers full text for over 2,300 journals with many dating back to 1990. Includes coverage of over 1,700 peer-reviewed journals.
